We use software that updates addresses via the USPS NCOA (National Change of Address) and CASS certification, which validates the address with the zip +4 format and determines if it is a valid address.
If the address is determined non-deliverable, our process will delete the address from the contact record and add a note to the contacts' notes. A report is available under the "Reports" tab if you click on the "Address Change Report".
If the contact moves and puts in for a change of address with the post office, we update their address with the new one and add the old address to their contact history.
